Cameron Byrne-Hughes is set to feature in the Under-18 Premier League Cup final as Manchester United prepare to face Crystal Palace in a highly anticipated showdown.
United booked their place in the final with an impressive 3-1 extra-time victory over West Ham United at Carrington. After Gabriel’s first-half equaliser brought the sides level, further goals from Nathaniel-Junior Brown and Kai Rooney secured progression for Darren Fletcher’s side.
Byrne-Hughes played an important role throughout the semi-final, producing key saves and demonstrating strong command of his area as United navigated a tightly contested fixture.
Crystal Palace, who overcame Tottenham Hotspur in their semi-final, will host the final at Selhurst Park. The match is scheduled for Wednesday 22 April, with a 19:00 BST kick-off.
The tie will be decided on the night, with extra-time and penalties if required.
Alongside their cup ambitions, United’s Under-18s also have a major FA Youth Cup fixture on the horizon, as they prepare to face Sunderland at Old Trafford.
