George Wickens makes it 5 in a row to take league tally to 15 clean sheets, the most in all of England’s top 4 leagues

George Wickens played a key role as Lincoln City extended their unbeaten league run to 19 matches with a 1-0 victory on the road.

Tom Hamer’s first-half header proved decisive, but it was Wickens’ performance between the posts that underpinned the result. The goalkeeper produced a number of important interventions, including a sharp stop from Josh Magennis and a crucial punch to deny Jack Aitchison, ensuring his side went into the break on level terms before taking the lead.

As the hosts applied pressure in the second half, Wickens remained composed and commanding, helping Lincoln maintain control and see out the game professionally.

The clean sheet marks another strong display for Wickens, whose consistency continues to be a key factor in Lincoln’s impressive run of form.
