Currently a key part of the Reading backline, Haydon arrived at the Select Car Leasing Stadium on January 21st, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal. A product of the Brighton & Hove Albion youth system, the versatile defender spent eight years with his hometown club before gaining vital EFL experience on loan at Rochdale. His career gathered significant momentum during a standout loan spell at Derby County in 2022/23, where he featured 44 times. This form earned him a permanent move to Bristol City in 2023; over three seasons at Ashton Gate, he became a reliable fixture for the Robins, making over 60 appearances during their sustained pushes for the Premier League.
