Haydon Roberts Looks Ahead to Reading’s Return to RG2

Haydon Roberts is targeting another strong performance as Reading return to home action this weekend to face Wycombe Wanderers.

Since joining from Bristol City, Roberts has made an immediate impression—scoring on his debut and quickly establishing himself as a regular in the side.

Previewing the derby clash, Roberts emphasised the importance of maintaining focus and consistency, treating the fixture like any other despite the local rivalry. His message is clear: if Reading perform to their standards, results will follow.

The defender is also relishing the opportunity to return to RG2, highlighting his enjoyment of playing in front of the home supporters and the lift it provides the squad.

Having settled quickly into life at the club, Roberts praised teammates and staff for making the transition seamless, noting how comfortable he feels both on and off the pitch.

Reflecting briefly on his debut goal, he described it as a positive start but remains focused on contributing further as the season progresses.
