George Wickens Gets League One Team of the Season Recognition

As representatives of George Wickens, we’re proud to see our goalkeeper earn a place in the League One Team of the Season following an exceptional campaign.

Wickens’ consistency, composure, and match-winning performances between the posts have been central to Lincoln City’s success this year. His inclusion in the division’s best XI reflects a season defined by reliability and high-level execution under pressure.

He is joined in the Team of the Season by teammates Sonny Bradley, Jack Moylan, and captain Tendayi Darikwa, highlighting the collective strength of a squad that secured automatic promotion to the Championship.

Lincoln City’s impressive campaign was further recognised with head coach Michael Skubala named League One Manager of the Year. Under his leadership, the team not only achieved promotion but also put together a remarkable 26-game unbeaten run, alongside multiple Manager of the Month awards.

This recognition across the club is a testament to the high standards set throughout the season—but from our perspective, it’s especially rewarding to see George Wickens receive the individual acknowledgment his performances deserve.

We look forward to continuing to support George as he builds on this success at the next level.
