George Wickens claims 3rd assist of the season to help Lincoln City extend their unbeaten league run to a club record 20 games

George Wickens delivered another assured performance as Lincoln City secured a 3-1 victory over Stockport County, extending their unbeaten league run to a club-record 20 matches.

Lincoln led through Jack Moylan at the break before being pegged back in the second half, but late goals from Tendayi Darikwa and Alfie Lloyd sealed an impressive win at the LNER Stadium.

Wickens played a crucial role throughout, producing a standout goal-line save to deny Stockport at a key moment, before showing strong handling under pressure as the visitors pushed for a second.

Despite the equaliser, the goalkeeper remained composed and reliable, helping his side regain control and ultimately see out another important victory.

Wickens’ consistency continues to be a major factor in Lincoln’s excellent form, with another strong display underpinning a sixth successive win.
